This page explains which cookies and similar tools www.dreamdestination.it uses, what they are for and how you can manage them. The data controller is Dream Destination S.r.l., Viale Abruzzi 13/A, 20131 Milan, Italy, VAT 14770430966, info@dreamdestination.it. For everything about your personal data, please also read our Privacy policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device while you visit it, and reads again on later visits. Similar tools, such as your browser's local storage, work in a similar way. On this page we call them all "cookies".
Cookies can be:
technical, when they are needed to run the site or to remember choices you make, such as the language. They do not require your consent;
analytics, when they are used to count visits. If they are used only by us, in aggregate form and without allowing you to be identified, they are treated like technical cookies;
profiling or marketing, when they are used to build a profile of your interests or to show you advertising. They always require your consent.
2. Which cookies we use
We do not use profiling or marketing cookies, and we do not use third-party advertising cookies. We only use these:
__dpl. Type: technical, ours. Purpose: makes sure that during your visit the site always shows you the same up-to-date version of its pages. Duration: 24 hours.
__cf_bm. Type: technical, set by the network and security service that protects the site (Cloudflare). Purpose: tells real visits apart from automated traffic, to protect the site. Duration: 30 minutes.
dd.locale (browser local storage). Type: technical, ours. Purpose: remembers the language you chose (Italian or English). Duration: until you clear it from your browser.
dd.compare.v1 (browser local storage). Type: technical, ours. Purpose: remembers the trips you chose to compare. Only created if you use the "Compare" feature. Duration: until you clear it from your browser.
tsr-scroll-restoration-v1_3 (browser session storage). Type: technical, ours. Purpose: remembers where you were on the page when you go back. Duration: until you close the tab.
dd:inspiration (browser session storage). Type: technical, ours. Purpose: remembers the travel inspiration you selected. Only created if you select one. Duration: until you close the tab.
dd.cookie-notice (browser local storage). Type: technical, ours. Purpose: remembers that you closed the cookie notice, so we don't show it on every page. Duration: until you clear it from your browser.
session-id. Type: analytics, ours, treated like a technical cookie. Purpose: counts visits and page views in aggregate form (for example how many visits per day, from which type of device, from which country based on the browser's time zone). It does not tell us who you are and does not follow you from one visit to the next. Duration: 30 minutes from your last activity.
The statistics are provided by the platform the site is built on, which processes them on our behalf. We do not combine them with other data and do not use them to identify you.
3. Social media and WhatsApp links
On the site you will find links to our Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn pages and to our WhatsApp number. They are plain links: we do not load social media buttons or content inside our pages, so these services receive no data from you until you click the link. When you do, you move to their sites or apps, which apply their own privacy and cookie rules.
4. Cookie notice and consent
We do not ask for your consent, because we only use technical cookies and analytics cookies treated like technical ones. On your first visit you will see a short notice reminding you of this, with a link to this page: you close it with "Got it" and it does not block your browsing. If we ever use cookies that require consent, the notice will let you choose which ones to accept, and you will be able to change your mind at any time.
5. How to manage or delete cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Here are the instructions for the most common browsers:
Safari (Mac): support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/safari/sfri11471/mac
Safari (iPhone and iPad): support.apple.com/en-gb/105082
Firefox and Edge: you will find instructions in the browser's help pages by searching for "cookies" (in Firefox under Settings, Privacy & Security; in Edge under Settings, Cookies and site permissions).
If you block technical cookies, some parts of the site may not work properly: for example, the site may not remember the language you chose.
6. Your rights
To find out how we process your data and how to exercise your rights (access, correction, erasure, objection and the others), read our Privacy policy or write to info@dreamdestination.it.
7. Changes
We update this page when the tools used by the site change. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
