Request informationAmsterdam is an easy city to explore with children: small, flat, full of parks and museums designed for younger visitors too. You start with the canals and narrow houses of the centre, then the Rijksmuseum, with Rembrandt and Vermeer, the Van Gogh Museum and an afternoon of play in the Vondelpark.
The Anne Frank House helps young people understand an important page of history; the NEMO science museum, shaped like a ship on the harbour, is all about touching and experimenting. And there has to be a day by bike, as the Dutch do, with a stop for pancakes.

6 days in the programme
The city of canals. Arrival in Amsterdam and check-in at the hotel. A first walk among the canals and colourful houses of the centre.
Art and the Vondelpark. A morning at the Rijksmuseum, with Rembrandt's Night Watch, or the Van Gogh Museum, both on Museumplein. An afternoon in the Vondelpark, among lawns and playgrounds.
Anne Frank and the canals. A visit to the Anne Frank House, on the Prinsengracht canal. In the afternoon, a canal boat trip.
Science and the harbour. A day at the NEMO science museum, fully interactive, with its rooftop terrace. An optional visit to the Maritime Museum, with its replica East India Company ship.
By bike. A day by bike through the city's neighbourhoods and parks, with a stop for Dutch pancakes and market treats.
End of the trip. Free time for last-minute shopping and departure.
