In Prague, the city of a hundred spires, an Italian-speaking guided tour of the Castle, the palaces of Mala Strana, Old Town Square and the Jewish quarter, then a cruise on the Vltava with lunch on board.
Krakow was the city of the Polish kings and is still the country's cultural capital: the great market square, Wawel Castle, the Kazimierz district and a lively evening scene. From here you visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau memorial, with an Italian-speaking guide.

7 days in the programme
The city of a hundred spires. Arrival at Prague airport and transfer to the hotel, in the centre. A first walk between Old Town Square and Charles Bridge.
Castle, Mala Strana and the old town. An Italian-speaking guided tour: the Castle complex with St Vitus Cathedral, the palaces and churches of Mala Strana, Old Town Square with its astronomical clock and the Jewish quarter, with its synagogues and old cemetery.
By boat on the Vltava. A boat cruise on the Vltava with lunch on board, with views of the bridges and the Castle. A free afternoon, perhaps at Vyšehrad or in one of the historic beer halls.
By train to Poland. Transfer to the station and train journey to Krakow. Check-in at the hotel, in the centre, and a first evening in town.
The city of kings. An Italian-speaking guided tour with lunch: the market square with the Cloth Hall, St Mary's Basilica, Wawel Castle and the Jewish district of Kazimierz. In your free time, an optional visit to the Wieliczka salt mine.
A day of remembrance. An excursion with an Italian-speaking guide to the camps of Auschwitz and Birkenau, now a museum and memorial. Return to Krakow in the afternoon.
End of the trip. Transfer to Krakow airport for your flight home.
