Request informationThe Camiño dos Faros follows the Costa da Morte, the wildest stretch of Galicia, where the Atlantic pounds cliffs and rocky headlands. You walk coastal paths from one fishing port to the next, past empty beaches, lighthouses and small villages.
It starts in Malpica and passes the Roncudo lighthouse, Laxe, Traba beach, the Cabo Vilán lighthouse at Camariñas and Muxía's sanctuary by the sea, ending at Finisterre, where for centuries pilgrims completed the Way of St James. The last stages are more demanding.

10 days in the programme
Start of the walk. Arrival in Santiago de Compostela and transfer to Malpica, the fishing port where the walk begins. Check-in and a free evening.
First stage. The walk leaves Malpica's harbour along beaches and cliffs, past the Punta Nariga lighthouse, to Niñóns. Transfer to the accommodation.
The Roncudo lighthouse. Along the coast to Barda beach and the Roncudo lighthouse, famous for its goose barnacles, then towards the Anllóns estuary and Ponteceso.
Castles and dunes. The path climbs Castelo de Lourido hill, overlooking the estuary, then descends through the dunes to the fishing village of Laxe.
Traba beach. One of the most scenic stages: the beach and lagoon of Traba, then cliffs and coves to the small village of Arou.
The Cabo Vilán lighthouse. Along the coast to the English Cemetery, the memorial of a shipwreck, and the Cabo Vilán lighthouse, then Camariñas, known for its bobbin lace.
The sanctuary by the sea. Around the estuary to Muxía, with the Virxe da Barca sanctuary on rocks beaten by the ocean.
A demanding stage. The walk gets tougher, on less-trodden paths and past remote headlands such as Cabo Touriñán, to Nemiña.
The end of the earth. The last stage, lighthouse to lighthouse, past Lires beach, to Finisterre and its lighthouse on the cape, where the Way of St James ends.
End of the trip. After breakfast, transfer to Santiago de Compostela and end of services.
