Request informationFrom Nice to the Italian border, then along the whole western Riviera to Genoa. The route avoids the busy Aurelia road wherever possible: back roads, stretches inland and the cycle path built on the old railway line between Ospedaletti and San Lorenzo al Mare.
The stages are short, 24 to 49 km, leaving time to stop: Cervo perched above the sea, the medieval towers of Albenga, Borgio Verezzi, Finale Ligure. The last stretch, from Arenzano to Genoa, is by train.
You ride on your own, with maps and a detailed route description; every morning your luggage goes ahead to the next hotel.

On the Côte d'Azur. Independent arrival in Nice and check-in at the hotel. Free time for the Promenade des Anglais and the old town.
About 42 km towards Italy. First cycling stage along the coast, with views of Monaco and Menton, partly following the ancient Via Julia Augusta. Arrival in Ventimiglia, gateway to the western Riviera.
About 49 km, via San Lorenzo al Mare. The route heads towards Sanremo and joins the cycle path on the old railway line, a few metres from the sea, as far as San Lorenzo al Mare. Then Imperia.
About 44 km via Diano and Cervo. A scenic stage through Diano Marina and the village of Cervo, with its baroque church overlooking the sea. Arrival in Alassio.
About 44 km, with a stop in Albenga. A stop in Albenga for the old town, with the cathedral of San Michele, the baptistery and the medieval towers. On via Borgio Verezzi to Finale Ligure.
About 34 km by the sea. A short stage on a scenic road with sea views almost all the way. Arrival in Savona and time for the centre and the Priamar fortress.
About 24 km by bike, then the train. Last cycling stage to Arenzano. From here the train takes you on to Genoa. A free evening in the lanes of the old town.
