Request informationTaormina sits on a terrace above the sea, with Etna in the background. One day is all for the town: the Greek-Roman theatre, the Odeon, Palazzo Corvaja, the Cathedral, the gardens of the Villa Comunale and shopping along Corso Umberto.
The next day you go up Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, with viewpoints and a visit to a lava cave. On the way back, a stop at an organic farm to taste wine, oil, honey and local products.
Private city break: 3 nights in a hotel with breakfast, transfers from Catania airport and an Etna excursion with a guide.
4 days in the programme
From Catania airport. Arrival at Catania airport and private transfer to the hotel in Taormina. A first walk along Corso Umberto to Piazza IX Aprile, overlooking the sea.
A free day. A free day in town: the Greek-Roman theatre with Etna in the background, the Odeon, Palazzo Corvaja, the Cathedral and the gardens of the Villa Comunale. You can also head down to the sea, towards Isola Bella.
The volcano and a tasting. An Etna excursion with hotel transfer and guide: viewpoints and a visit to a lava cave with a cave kit. Then an organic farm, to taste wine, oil, honey and local products. Return to Taormina.
End of the trip. Free time depending on your flight and private transfer to Catania airport.
