Request informationA grand journey through southern Africa, built around Botswana's finest wildlife areas. It starts at Victoria Falls, between Zimbabwe and Zambia, and heads south to the Makgadikgadi salt pans, remains of an ancient lake, before entering the Moremi reserve, one of the richest wildlife areas on the continent.
The heart of the trip is the Okavango Delta, a maze of channels and islands explored in silence by mokoro, the traditional dugout canoe. After a stretch through the Caprivi Strip in Namibia, the trip ends on the Chobe River, home to one of Africa's largest elephant populations, seen on game drives and on a sunset boat cruise.
You travel with a private vehicle and an English-speaking guide, staying in selected hotels and lodges. We can choose tented camps in the Delta reached by light aircraft, or arrange an Italian-speaking guide.

Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Arrival at Victoria Falls airport, welcome and transfer to your hotel. From here you can already hear the roar of the falls, known locally as "the smoke that thunders".
The trail along the face of the falls. A day at the falls, where the Zambezi plunges more than a hundred metres along a front almost two kilometres wide. The trail on the Zimbabwe side leads to a series of viewpoints over the gorge.
A scenic flight or a Zambezi cruise. A free day. You can fly over the falls by helicopter, take a sunset cruise on the Zambezi or, if you are adventurous, go rafting in the gorge.
The salt pans of an ancient lake. Into Botswana and on to the Makgadikgadi, one of the largest salt pans in the world, the remains of a lake that dried up thousands of years ago. Flat horizons and huge sunsets.
First game drive in an open 4x4. Into the Moremi reserve, on the eastern edge of the Okavango Delta. First game drive in an open vehicle, looking for elephants, lions, leopards and wild dogs.
A full day between savannah and wetlands. A full day of game drives in Moremi, among mopane woodland, grassland and wetlands full of birds, antelopes and giraffes.
The gateway to the Delta. Transfer to Maun, the small town where expeditions into the Okavango Delta begin. Free afternoon.
By mokoro through channels and islands. Into the Delta, a maze of channels, lagoons and islands formed by a river that never reaches the sea. You explore it by mokoro, the traditional poled canoe, gliding silently among water lilies and papyrus.
Mokoro trips and island walks. A second day in the Delta, with mokoro trips and guided walks on the islands, approaching wildlife on foot with your guide.
A stretch through Namibia along the rivers. Transfer to the Caprivi Strip, in Namibia, a narrow band of land between rivers and wetlands, with villages and far greener vegetation than the rest of the country.
Arrival in elephant country. Back into Botswana and arrival in Kasane, on the banks of the Chobe. The national park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in Africa.
A morning game drive and a sunset cruise. A morning game drive along the river and, in the afternoon, a sunset cruise: from the boat you see elephants, hippos and crocodiles just a few metres away.
Airport transfer and flight home. Transfer from Kasane to Victoria Falls airport and flight home.
End of the trip. Arrival in Italy.
