Request informationOcho Rios lies on Jamaica's north coast, between the Caribbean Sea and forest-covered hills. Sandals Dunn's River is an adults-only beachfront resort, with beaches reserved for guests, pools and sports, on the hotel's all-inclusive formula.
You stay in a Travertine Luxury Room. There is plenty to see around the resort. Dunn's River Falls, tumbling in terraces down to the sea, the Mystic Mountain chairlift above the rainforest, the limestone caves of Green Grotto.
You choose the excursions and book them separately. Or you stay at the resort, between beach and pool.
The trip includes scheduled flights from Italy, a private transfer on arrival, the transfer to the airport for the return, seven nights at the resort and medical and baggage insurance.

Departure from Italy on a scheduled flight to Montego Bay or Kingston, with a stopover. On arrival, after entry formalities, meeting with the driver and private transfer to Ocho Rios, on the north coast, between an hour and a half and two hours by road depending on the airport. Check-in at Sandals Dunn's River, an adults-only resort on the Caribbean Sea, in a Travertine Luxury Room, on the hotel's all-inclusive formula. The rest of the day is for resting after the flight, a first swim and an unhurried dinner.
A first full day with no plans, to get over the jet lag. The morning is for getting to know the resort, with beaches reserved for guests, pools and restaurants. The sea off the north coast is usually calm and clear, good for swimming and snorkelling close to shore. In the afternoon, one of the sports on offer at the resort or simply a sunbed in the shade of the palms. In the evening, a first sunset over the Caribbean Sea and a dinner with no rush.
Free day. An idea to be booked separately, Dunn's River Falls, a few minutes from the resort. The water drops about 180 metres over limestone terraces and flows straight onto the beach and into the sea. With a guide you climb the falls on foot, from the bottom up, holding hands in a line, among pools and small cascades. You need water shoes and a swimsuit. In the afternoon, back to the resort or a walk in the centre of Ocho Rios, with its craft market.
Free day. An idea to be booked separately, Mystic Mountain, in the hills just above Ocho Rios. A chairlift rises above the rainforest, with the view over the coast and the bay opening up as you climb. At the top are the park's activities, such as the bobsled ride inspired by Jamaica's Winter Olympics team and ziplines through the trees, for those who like a little adrenaline. You come down in the early afternoon, with the rest of the day at the resort.
Free day. An idea to be booked separately, west along the north coast to the Green Grotto Caves, near Discovery Bay. They are limestone caves, with stalactites, passages and a small underground lake, which over the centuries sheltered the Taino, the Spanish and smugglers. The visit is with a guide, along lit paths. On the way back, a stop at one of the beaches of Runaway Bay for a swim, then back to the resort for sunset.
Free day. An idea to be booked separately, inland. Just outside Ocho Rios the road runs through Fern Gully, an old riverbed covered by thousands of ferns, cool and shady even at midday. You then climb through the hills of Saint Ann parish to Nine Mile, the village where Bob Marley was born and where his mausoleum stands. The visit tells the story of his childhood and the birth of reggae. Back to the resort in the afternoon.
Last full day, devoted to the sea. In the morning, snorkelling in front of the resort or kayaking along the coast, when the water is calmest. To be booked separately, a catamaran trip along the north coast with swimming stops, or a treatment at the resort's spa. For a last evening outing, also to be booked separately, the Luminous Lagoon near Falmouth, where at night the water lights up as the boat passes, thanks to bioluminescent microorganisms. A last unhurried dinner at the resort.
Last breakfast and, depending on the flight time, time for a last swim. Transfer to the airport and return flight to Italy, with a stopover. Overnight on board.
Arrival in Italy and end of the trip.
