Request informationFirst the city, then the sea. In New York you stay at the Riu Plaza New York Times Square, in the heart of Manhattan. Half a day with an Italian-speaking guide around the landmarks, entry to The Edge, the observation deck jutting out above Hudson Yards, and dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe; the rest of the time is free for Central Park, the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn.
Then a flight south to Barbados, in the Lesser Antilles. Seven all-inclusive nights at the Mango Bay Beach Resort: beach, calm sea and, if you like, historic Bridgetown, Harrison's Cave or the Atlantic coast at Bathsheba.

Scheduled flight from Italy to New York. On arrival, transfer to the Riu Plaza New York Times Square, in the heart of Manhattan. Early check-in is not guaranteed: if the room is not ready yet, the luggage stays at the hotel. In the evening, a first walk among the signs of Times Square and the Broadway theatres, a few minutes on foot from the hotel. With New York six hours behind Italy, a dinner nearby and an early night are a good idea.
Half a day with an Italian-speaking guide around Manhattan's landmarks. Then up to The Edge, the observation deck jutting out more than 300 metres above Hudson Yards, with entry included. From there you go down to the High Line, the park built on an old elevated railway, and walk south to the Meatpacking District. The High Line is just over two kilometres long and takes less than an hour, with glimpses of the Hudson River and the buildings of Chelsea.
A free day. One idea: the ferry from Battery Park to Liberty Island, at the foot of the Statue of Liberty, and to Ellis Island, with its museum of the immigrants who arrived in America (tickets bought separately). Back in Lower Manhattan, Wall Street and the 9/11 Memorial. In the afternoon, a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to DUMBO, with views of the skyline.
A free day. In the morning, Central Park on foot or by bike, with Bethesda Terrace, the lake and Strawberry Fields. Then a museum of your choice: the Metropolitan, on the east side of the park, or MoMA, in Midtown. In the afternoon, Fifth Avenue and the Rockefeller Center. In the evening, the included dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe or a similar restaurant. In winter, there is skating there under the big Christmas tree.
Transfer to the airport and scheduled flight to Barbados, in the Lesser Antilles: about four and a half hours. On arrival, private transfer to the Mango Bay Beach Resort or similar, on the island's west coast, where the all-inclusive stay begins. The rest of the day is for a first swim and the sunset over the Caribbean.
A free day at the resort, all inclusive. The west coast, also called the Platinum Coast, has calm water and light sand, good for swimming and snorkelling close to shore. Holetown, where the resort is, has small shops and restaurants for a late-afternoon stroll. Meals and drinks at the resort are covered by the all-inclusive plan.
A free day. One of the island's most popular trips is a catamaran cruise along the west coast, with stops to swim with sea turtles and snorkel over the wrecks of Carlisle Bay. The turtles you meet most often are green and hawksbill turtles. It usually takes half a day. The trip is optional and booked separately; the rest of the time is for the resort's beach.
A free day. About half an hour from the resort is Bridgetown, the capital: the historic centre with its Parliament, one of the oldest in the Commonwealth, and the Garrison, the colonial military area that, together with the old town, has been a UNESCO site since 2011. At the Garrison you can also visit the house where George Washington stayed in 1751, the only journey of his life outside North America. In the afternoon you can swim at Carlisle Bay, the large beach just outside the centre.
A free day for the island's interior. In the middle of Barbados, about half an hour from Holetown, Harrison's Cave is a limestone cave with stalactites, pools and underground streams, visited aboard a small tram. Nearby, Hunte's Gardens is a tropical garden hidden in a gully, among palms, ferns and flowers. Optional visits, booked separately.
A free day. On the east coast the landscape changes: at Bathsheba the Atlantic waves break against huge sea-smoothed rocks, and the Soup Bowl is one of the best-known surf spots in the Caribbean. The sea here is rough and not suited to swimming, but the view is worth the trip. On the way you can stop at St. John's Church, on the cliff. From Holetown it takes about an hour, through the green interior of the island.
A last free day at the resort, all inclusive: one more swim, an afternoon on the beach or a walk around Holetown. There is time to pack calmly before tomorrow's flight. Kayaks and paddleboards can be hired along the west coast for a last outing on calm water. At sunset, the sun goes down into the sea right in front of the beach.
Private transfer to the airport and scheduled flight back to Italy. On departure from Barbados the exit tax is paid on the spot (currently 25 US dollars). Night on board.
