9 days in the programme
Overnight flight. Departure from Italy on a scheduled connecting flight to Phnom Penh. Night on board.
The capital. Arrival in Phnom Penh and meeting with your guide. A visit to the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda and the National Museum.
Recent history and the road to Angkor. In the morning, the Tuol Sleng museum, which tells the story of the Khmer Rouge years. Then a drive to Siem Reap.
The great temples. A day at Angkor: Angkor Wat, the city of Angkor Thom with the Bayon, and Ta Prohm, wrapped in roots. A visit to the Puok silk farm.
The floating villages. By boat on Tonlé Sap lake to the floating village of Chong Kneas. Afternoon among Angkor's smaller temples.
The colonial town. Transfer to Battambang. A stroll among the colonial houses and, at sunset, the hills of Phnom Sampeau.
The bamboo train. A ride on the bamboo train, then return to Phnom Penh.
Farewell to Cambodia. Free time until the transfer to the airport and connecting flight home. Night on board.
End of the trip. Arrival in Italy.
