Request informationOman in a week, among sea, desert and mountains. From Muscat you visit the Barka fish market and the fort in the Nakhal oasis, then head down the coast: the Bimah sinkhole, Wadi Tiwi and Sur, the city of dhows.
In the Sharqiya desert you spend two nights among the dunes, with an excursion to the green pools of Wadi Bani Khalid. Then the interior: Ibra, Jabrin castle, the walls of Bahla, a UNESCO site, and Nizwa, the ancient capital.
In the Hajar mountains, the villages of Al Hamra and Misfah, clinging to the rock, and Jebel Shams, the "Grand Canyon of Arabia". Italian-speaking guide and flights included.
9 days in the programme
Overnight flight. Departure from Italy on a scheduled flight to Muscat. Night on board.
The capital on the sea. Arrival in Muscat, meeting with your guide and transfer to the hotel. A visit to the Grand Mosque and the Muttrah souq.
Fish and oases. The Barka fish market and the Nakhal fort, in the oasis at the foot of the mountains, with its hot springs. Return to Muscat.
From coast to desert. The Bimah sinkhole, Wadi Tiwi and Sur, with its dhow yard. In the afternoon, by 4x4 into the Sharqiya dunes. Night at the camp.
Pools in the rock. An excursion to Wadi Bani Khalid, with its green pools among the palms. Sunset on the dunes and a second night in the desert.
Forts and castles. The Ibra market, Jabrin castle with its painted ceilings and the walls of Bahla, a UNESCO site. Arrival in Nizwa.
The Grand Canyon of Arabia. The villages of Al Hamra and Misfah, with their mud houses and terraces, and by 4x4 up to Jebel Shams, on the rim of the canyon. Return to Nizwa.
The souq and the fort. The Nizwa souq and fort, the village of Birkat Al Mauz and return to Muscat. In the evening, transfer to the airport and flight home. Night on board.
End of the trip. Arrival in Italy.
