Request informationClassic Vietnam, from north to south, with flights from Italy and half board. It begins in Hanoi, with the Old Quarter, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Temple of Literature and Hoan Kiem Lake, then Ha Long Bay, with its limestone pinnacles rising from the sea.
In the centre of the country, Hoi An, the old trading port with the houses of Chinese and Japanese merchants and its silk lanterns, and Hue, the imperial city of Vietnam's last kings.
You finish in Ho Chi Minh City, the old Saigon, with the Cu Chi tunnels dug during the war and a last free day among markets and cafés.
11 days in the programme
Welcome to Vietnam. Arrival in Hanoi on your flight from Italy, meeting with your guide and transfer to the hotel.
The capital. The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university.
The Old Quarter. A walk through the Old Quarter, with its 36 streets of trades, Hoan Kiem Lake and a water puppet show.
Among the limestone pinnacles. Transfer to Ha Long Bay and a cruise among the limestone pinnacles, with stops at caves and fishing villages. Night in the bay.
To the centre. Return to Hanoi and flight to Da Nang. Transfer to Hoi An and a first evening stroll among the lanterns.
The old port. A visit to the old town, a UNESCO site: the Japanese Bridge, the merchants' houses and the Chinese assembly halls.
The Pass of the Clouds. Departure for Hue over the Hai Van Pass, the Pass of the Clouds, with views over the coast. Afternoon in the imperial city.
Imperial tombs and the south. By boat on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda and a visit to an imperial tomb. Flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
The war tunnels. Morning at the Cu Chi tunnels, the underground network used during the war. In the afternoon, the city: Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office and Ben Thanh Market.
A free day. A free day for last-minute shopping or a Vietnamese coffee. In the evening, transfer to the airport and flight home. Night on board.
End of the trip. Arrival in Italy.
