13 days in the programme
The metropolis. Arrival in Tokyo and check-in. A first evening in Shinjuku or Shibuya.
Between modern and traditional. Senso-ji temple in Asakusa, Meiji Shrine, Harajuku and the Shibuya crossing, with dinner in a local neighbourhood spot.
The sacred mountain. An excursion to Lake Kawaguchi, with views of Mount Fuji on clear days. Return to Tokyo.
A day of fun. A day at Tokyo Disneyland or, if you prefer, in Tokyo among museums and neighbourhoods.
The old capital. By bullet train to Kyoto. Afternoon in the Gion district, among wooden houses and teahouses.
Temples and gardens. Fushimi Inari shrine with its thousands of red gates, the Golden Pavilion and the Arashiyama bamboo grove.
The castle and street food. Transfer to Osaka and a visit to the castle. In the evening, Dotonbori, the street food district.
Deer, matcha and hot springs. An excursion to Nara, with the Great Buddha of Todai-ji and the deer in the park. In the afternoon, a tea ceremony and a hot spring bath.
The Korean capital. Flight from Osaka to Seoul. Check-in and a first evening in the city.
Royal palaces and markets. Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon hanok village and Gwangjang market.
Trendy neighbourhoods. Insadong, Myeongdong and Hongdae, among shops, cafés and Korean pop culture.
History and views. Changdeokgung Palace with its Secret Garden and Namsan Tower at sunset.
End of the trip. Transfer to the airport.
