Request informationA trip devoted to the imperial cities, with enough time to enjoy them. It starts in Rabat, the capital on the Atlantic, with the Hassan Tower and the Chellah necropolis. Then Meknes, the Roman ruins of Volubilis and two nights in Fes, the cradle of Arab-Andalusian culture.
Across the Middle Atlas, with its cedar forests and macaques, you head down to Marrakech for four nights: there is time for guided visits, for Jemaa el-Fna square at sunset, for the souks and gardens.
You travel by private car with an Italian-speaking driver and a local guide in each city, with the flight from Italy included. In Marrakech we can add an excursion into the Atlas or the Agafay desert.

From the flight to the capital. Royal Air Maroc flight to Casablanca and drive to Rabat. Dinner and overnight.
The capital on the ocean. A guided tour of Rabat: the Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Merinid necropolis of Chellah built over Roman ruins and the blue-and-white Kasbah of the Udayas above the sea.
Moulay Ismail's city and the Roman ruins. Departure for Meknes, with its monumental gates, and visit to the Roman site of Volubilis. Arrival in Fes for dinner.
The medina and the royal palace. A guided tour of Fes: the gates of the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter, the shrine of Moulay Idriss II, the Nejjarine museum of woodcraft and the alleys of the medina, a UNESCO site.
From Fes to Marrakech. Drive to Marrakech across the Middle Atlas, among cedar forests home to macaques, oases and palm groves. Arrival in the afternoon.
The Koutoubia and the palaces. A guided tour of Marrakech: the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the Ben Youssef madrasa.
Souks, gardens and Jemaa el-Fna. A day among the souks and the Majorelle Garden. At sunset Jemaa el-Fna square, a UNESCO site, fills with storytellers, musicians and food stalls.
Hammam, shopping or an excursion. A free day. On request we arrange an excursion to the Ourika Valley in the Atlas, or to the Agafay desert.
Transfer to Casablanca and flight. Transfer to Casablanca airport and flight home.
