An itinerary dedicated to discovering Ethiopia's Historical Route, a journey that winds through the peaks of the highlands and the iconic landmarks of Orthodox Christianity. The trip begins in the capital, Addis Ababa, before heading to the primary cultural and natural hubs of the north, following a path that intertwines faith, imperial architecture, and primordial natural scenery.
This experience offers the chance to admire the spectacular Blue Nile Falls, explore the hidden island monasteries of Lake Tana by boat, and visit the monumental complexes of Gondar and Lalibela. Ethiopia's biodiversity takes centre stage during excursions in the Simien Mountains National Park, the natural habitat of endemic species such as Gelada baboons and Mountain Nyala.
The journey includes scheduled flights on an international flight, private overland transfers, and the accompaniment of a local Italian-speaking guide. The pace alternates between visits to historical and museum sites and moments immersed in the nature of the plateaus, offering a comprehensive insight into a country rich in millennial traditions.
