Then Khao Sok National Park, one of the oldest rainforests in the world: two days of nature safari and a night in a bamboo bungalow floating on the lake, among limestone cliffs.
The last part is on the islands of the Gulf of Thailand. Koh Phangan, with its quiet bays, and Koh Tao, famous for snorkelling and diving. You return to Bangkok on the night train, in a sleeper berth.
9 days in the programme
Welcome to Thailand. Arrival in Bangkok and private transfer to your hotel. Free time to rest or take a first trip on the Chao Phraya River.
The floating market and the railway market. An excursion to the Maeklong railway market, where the stalls pull back as the train goes by, and to the floating market. In the afternoon, Bangkok's temples with your guide.
A night on the lake. Flight to Surat Thani and transfer to Khao Sok lake. By boat between limestone cliffs to the floating bungalows, where you spend the night in the silence of the forest.
From jungle to sea. A morning of nature safari, with a walk or canoe trip. Then by road and ferry to Koh Phangan.
A free day. A free day on the island: the northern beaches, such as Bottle Beach and Thong Nai Pan, are among the most beautiful in the Gulf.
Turtle Island. Ferry to Koh Tao, a small island of granite and coral. Free afternoon.
Snorkelling and diving. A free day. Koh Tao is one of the best places in Thailand to learn to dive; for snorkelling, Koh Nang Yuan and the southern bays.
By sleeper to the capital. Ferry to the mainland and transfer to Chumphon station. Night in a sleeper berth on the train to Bangkok.
Farewell to Thailand. Arrival in Bangkok in the morning and private transfer to the airport for your flight home.
