Request informationThe ideal first trip to Thailand, with flights included. Two days in Bangkok, among the Grand Palace, the Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho and the canals of Thonburi, then a flight north.
In Chiang Rai, the White Temple and the Golden Triangle; in Chiang Mai, the old town and the Doi Suthep shrine. From here you head south through the country's history: Sukhothai, the first capital, and Ayutthaya, with the Bang Pa-In summer palace, residence of the kings of Thailand.
You travel with an Italian-speaking guide throughout. If you would like a few days by the sea at the end, we add them to your proposal.
9 days in the programme
Overnight flight. Departure from Italy on a scheduled flight to Bangkok. Night on board.
Arrival in the capital. Arrival in Bangkok, meeting with your guide and transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon to rest.
The Grand Palace and the canals. The Grand Palace with the Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho with its great reclining Buddha and, by boat, the canals of Thonburi and Wat Arun.
To the north. Flight to Chiang Rai. A visit to the White Temple and the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet.
The capital of the north. A drive to Chiang Mai. Up to the Doi Suthep temple and a visit to the old town; in the evening, the night market.
The first Thai capital. Departure south to Sukhothai. A visit to the historical park, a UNESCO site, among stupas and great stone Buddhas.
The old capital of Siam. On to Ayutthaya, founded in 1350 and capital of the kingdom for four centuries. A visit to the main temples in the archaeological park.
The palace of the kings. A visit to the Bang Pa-In summer palace, residence of the kings of Thailand, and return to Bangkok. In the evening, transfer to the airport and flight home. Night on board.
End of the trip. Arrival in Italy.
