Request informationCentral and southern Mongolia in a great 4x4 loop. From Ulaanbaatar, with its museums and monasteries, you head down into the Gobi: the rocks of Baga Gazryn Chuluu, the coloured cliffs of Tsagaan Suvarga, Gurvan Saikhan park with the icy Yolyn Am gorge, the Khongor dunes, with an hour on a camel, and the Flaming Cliffs of Bayanzag.
Heading back north, the ruins of Ongi monastery and Karakorum, with Erdene Zuu monastery built on the ruins of Genghis Khan's capital. Then the steppe of Hustai park, home to Mongolia's wild horses, and the green mountains of Terelj park.
Nights in ger camps with private gers, full board and a private 4x4 minivan.

Overnight flight. Departure from Italy on a connecting flight to Ulaanbaatar. Night on board.
The capital. Arrival and a city tour: Gandan monastery, the dinosaur museum with its velociraptor skeleton and Genghis Khan Square.
Into the Gobi. By 4x4 south to the granite rocks of Baga Gazryn Chuluu. Night in a ger.
The coloured cliffs. The cliffs of Tsagaan Suvarga, layers of white, red and orange rock that look like the ruins of a city. Night in a ger.
The icy gorge. Gurvan Saikhan National Park and the Yolyn Am gorge, where ice lingers into summer. Night in a ger.
By camel on the sand. The Khongor dunes and an hour on a camel. Night in a ger.
The Flaming Cliffs. The red cliffs of Bayanzag, where the first dinosaur eggs were found. Night in a ger.
The riverside monastery. The ruins of Ongi monastery, along the river. Night in a ger.
Erdene Zuu. Karakorum and Erdene Zuu monastery, built where the capital of the Mongol empire once stood. Night in a ger.
The wild horses. On the steppe of Hustai park, looking for Mongolia's wild horses. Night in a ger.
The green mountains. Terelj park, among granite rocks, forests and Aryabal temple. Night in a ger.
Farewell dinner. Return to Ulaanbaatar. In the evening, a farewell dinner at a restaurant.
End of the trip. Transfer to the airport and flight back to Italy.
